We are constantly looking for new surveyors to join our team to enable us to grow organically over time.
We are looking to hire a marine surveyor to engage in all aspects of the company’s survey and consulting activities in the over 40 metre superyacht market, encompassing pre purchase and condition surveys, casualty investigation and reporting, oversight of casualty repairs, consultancy projects including new build and refit support.
The post will combine working from home with deployments as required by the company. Candidate should have reasonable access to a convenient airport for international travel. YSP works worldwide but our primary focus is Europe, taking in major yachting hubs, shipyards and marinas. Deployment on assignments outside of Europe will be required from time to time.
No specific qualifications required; however, the candidate should be able to show evidence of suitable experience in their previous and current work. Candidate should have a background as a marine engineer in the superyacht industry or have worked as a surveyor for Class or Flag State survey organisation, or for a competitor or possibly for a technical management team. The surveyor is likely to be degree educated, but not essential. Candidate should be a member of a recognised professional body with an appropriate level of accreditation.
