Should a yacht buyer make time to read and understand the pre purchase survey report that they’ve commissioned? Naturally we say yes (but we’re realists and accept that they might not get beyond the executive summary and budget estimates, leaving the fine detail to the rest of the buyer’s team to read) but we also suggest spending time during the Buyer’s sea trial to visit non guest areas and to chat with the crew. It will soon become apparent whether the crew have a passion for the yacht and whether the seller has been providing the budget needed to keep her in stand out condition.
