We recently surveyed the 56m sailing yacht MONDANGO built by Alloy Yachts in New Zealand in 2014. We carried out a pre purchase survey on the yacht alongside at STP Shipyard in Palma de Mallorca and then at sea in the Bay of Palma for the sea trial with a team of 2 from Yacht Survey Partners as well as various technical specialists. As always, deadlines were tight, and the client had our final report within 3 days of our leaving the yacht. As sailing yachts of this size are few and far between, it was a particularly satisfying survey to complete.
