We recently surveyed the iconic Baltic Yachts built sailing yacht PINK GIN VI whilst she was in Palma de Mallorca with a sea trial in the Bay of Palma and inspection of the underwater hull with the yacht hauled ashore at STP shipyard. We undertook the survey in 4 days with a team of 2 surveyors with assistance from Andy and Nancy from 7C Rigging for the rig inspection. Conditions for the sea trial were near perfect, with a nice 16 knot breeze allowing this Judel / Vrolijk & Co. design to power to windward at a good 11 knots. Taking the helm for a while she felt nicely balanced and easy to keep in the groove with good rudder feel through the complex feedback system.
