We recently had the pleasure of surveying the 47m San Lorenzo built motor yacht ARROW from their Expedition 500 explorer yacht range in the beautiful surroundings of Nelson’s Dockyard in English Harbour, Antigua over a period of 4 days for a previous client. Arrow is a full displacement twin screw diesel powered motor yacht of steel and aluminium construction, with a length overall of 46.99m, a beam of 9.58m and a draft of 2.723m at full load with ABS Class and sailing under the Cayman Islands flag. She’s powered by a couple of Caterpillar C32 engines giving her a top speed of just over 15 knots with a reported range of 4000 nautical miles. With no convenient dry dock to use, we worked with local divers for the underwater hull inspection. The sea trial took place in relatively benign conditions with winds of force 4 to 5, with a 1.5 metre swell, all of which Arrow took well. It’s always a pleasure to be back in Antigua for a survey, especially during the European winter!
